The Workshops

The workshop is for artists, mental health workers, occupational therapists, government and non-government and not for profit organisations working in mental health and will assist in the planning and delivery of arts and mental health projects.

Participants will learn about / receive:

• The NEW Arts and Mental Health resource “Bringing it all Together – Guidelines for Arts and Mental Health”

• Why arts and mental health work so well together

• A “Kit” of resources for future reference and support of practice and projects, including access to this website.

• Links to possible funding sources

• Planning and managing projects

• Examples of successful arts and mental health projects

• Meet others from across sectors to broaden knowledge and generate ideas

 

Examples, activites and case studies will be used to promote interactive learning.

 

The workshop is a 5 hour program designed for artists and health workers. This website provides support materials as part of "the Kit" and further materials are provided at the workshop. Course content can be tailored to suit your needs. A workshop for about 15 people will cost approximately $1000.00 including resources. Travel costs and incidentals may also be required. Helen has worked as an artist within fine arts, education and health. Over the last 10 years she has worked as a freelance artist and arts project manager on numerous SA community arts projects and art and health projects.
